Fonts for Designers is a new series of posts that proposes every week a selection of the best free fonts for web designers. Each new issue will present five interesting fonts you can use on your web projects. In the last weeks, before the launch of Woork Up, I’ve exchanged many ideas and opinions with some friends of mine and readers of this blog about the new editorial line of Woork Up. In a nutshell this is the result of this brainstorming: less lists, not more then five items for list, more tutorials, more original posts. So I’ve decided to follow these recommendations by dedicating only two weekly lists to fonts and music playlists for web designers. If you have other suggestions please leave a comment, thanks!

No more than 5 items per list is a great Idea! Too many websites are doing Megalists! And the result is a lot of waste of time! These fonts are really sweet!

Nice font collection. These will be extremely useful for a corporate project I have coming up. Brilliant!

This is especially a good idea, selecting only five means that it’s more likely we can discover more fonts rather than listing the ones we already know of in large lists. Thanks for putting this together. It’s great to discover new fonts.

Lists are fine if you know what you’re looking for, and in that case some larger ones are necessary, but I’d love if you had a write-up for each font on these lists. Tell us who made the font, and what characteristics to notice, and what each one is best used for.

I have a general question regarding the CC-Licence of the Neighbourhood Font.
It says:
Noncommercial — You may not use this work for commercial purposes
- Is it allowed to use it in Webdesign for a client?
- Is it allowed to use it in Logodesign for a client?
Or does this sentence mean, that it is not allowed to sell the whole Font?
Thanks!

@andy All of the above. It means you cannot use it in a webdesign or logo design without the consent of the font’s creator. Under no circumstances can you simply sell it…
