Whether it is creating a new Facebook advertisement or creating a Twitter Cover Image for a client, I am always updating graphics on social media. This can become quite a tedious task after a while. Up until now I have my social network templates saved in PhotoShop and I simply edit them and update them manually as needed. I usually refer over to Sprout’s “Always Up-to-Date Guide to Social Media Image Sizes” post to see if there are changes.
If you work with a graphic designer this can come in really handy. Next time they ask you for the Facebook Cover Photo dimensions just send them the link to the free plugin. And they will never ask again.
You can download Social Kit for free here: socialkit.madebysource.com.
It works on the following versions of Adobe software for both Mac and PC:
- Adobe Photoshop CS5
- Adobe Photoshop CS6
- Adobe Creative Cloud
- Adobe Creative Cloud 2014
- Fully sliced and customizable templates for your Facebook, Twitter, Google and YouTube channel.
- Automatically updated upon every major or minor change of social site design.
Includes the following templates:
- Facebook Page
- Facebook App
- Facebook Advertising
- Twitter Profile & Cover
- Twitter Background
- Google+ Profile
- Google+ Advertising
- YouTube Profile & Cover
- YouTube Branded Theme
- YouTube Advertising
It also includes a set of all the social icons. The best part about this is really being able to see exactly pixel for pixel where everything is going to line up. No more guessing where your avatar is going to be or what part of the screen is going to be blurred. Every template comes with editable layers so you can easily drop in your graphics and resize.
