LifterLMS is a WordPress plugin that helps you build and sell your own online courses.
LifterLMS is not just your run-of-the-mill WordPress online course plugin, it is a complete system, a learning management system for WordPress. LifterLMS is advertised as a fully-functional and easy to use solution for building and selling your own courses on your WordPress website.
According to the developers, what sets their plugin apart is how it solves the four problems that education entrepreneurs and e-teachers have;
- LMS is easy to use.
- ENGAGEMENT with their students based off of their actions and stages.
- The ability to take and manage MEMBERSHIP, and have it integrated.
- The ability to do E-commerce and have it integrated.
LifterLMS is the only learning management system that does all those 4 things together. This means with LifterLMS, you do not have to install 10 other plugins, this plugin is usable “out of the box”.
In this LifterLMS review, we will install the plugin, examine the features and try creating our own online course with the LifterLMS WordPress plugin.

Here is our review of the LifterLMS WordPress plugin
FunctionalityLMS stands for learning management system, it is therefore expected that the core offering of the LifterLMS plugin depends on how robust and easy to use the learning management system is. The plugin comes with a lot of features and you might have the feeling that some of the features may be bogus, but they really aren't. The plugin comes with more than enough features to create and manage an online course.
Ease of UseThe plugin has a quick start guide that creates necessary pages and points you towards the right direction when you activate the plugin. Every other thing is done following acceptable and general WordPress standards which makes the learning management system really easy to learn and use. Speed The LifterLMS plugin was set up on a test site and the impact on speed was very low when tested with the popular P3 performance plugin. The plugin itself is just a bit over 1mb and it does not add any significant weight on your load time. Pricing The LifterLMS plugin costs a whooping $149.00 which is three times what buyers are used to paying for a WordPress plugin, is LifterLMS worth the price? I'm afraid this question would really depend on how important a learning management system is to you and your users.
I do not think that price is cheap, but if you are going to sell online courses, that price shouldn't be too much to pay especially when the plugin is essential to your operations. Support LifterLMS is developed by good people, they are not going to sell you the plugin and go quiet. They will guide you step by step through how to set up the whole system and help you out with any difficulties. Recommendation The LifterLMS plugin is a fantastic plugin, codeBox, the developers have put in a lot of effort into making this a complete plugin. An all-in-one solution is never easy to achieve, but LifterLMS really nailed it. The plugin could use more tweaking here and there to give users more control over the design, but when it comes to functionalities, the plugin is already adequate. For $149, you get a complete and usable out-of-the-box solution to create and sell your own courses. I believe it is a fair investment.
