You can’t say these fonts are “perfect for logos.”

The type choice is completely dependant on the brand.

While these fonts are definitely nice, there is no perfect logo font. As Paul said, the type depends on the brand. But I bet some “designers” will use these fonts to whip up some generic stock logos that will all kind of look the same…

awesome set of resources! thank you for sharing this and doing the research for us all to discover. i will definitely be referencing this time to time.

i just want to add, another excellent resource / place for typography is http://www.pilo.me – it by far is the most complete and solid font forum i have visited. you can definitely find similar resources as you have mentioned here at pilo. anyhow, give it a look if you are a type lover. i think it is invite only or it usually is at least, so good luck getting in. if you do get in, be sure to participate as i know they remove deadbeat users time to time.

thanks again for the excellent links!

Is it just me or do some of these fonts resemble retreads of existing typefaces i.e., Bailey Sans, Meta, OCR A + B?

    Hi Antonio,

Firstly i am very much impressed and congratulations for your look of woorkup.com. Mostly i will read / go through your posts. Those are very awesome and useful.

Just came across the page http://woorkup.com/2010/02/14/5-fresh-and-extreme-useful-fonts-for-logos/, i see this page has some alignment issues as i am seeing it in three main browsers Mozilla, IE, & Chrome. I guess you need to re-work on this page like need to reduce the image which you are displaying the font visuals.

    Thanks,
    Sunil.

Logos dont have to be for big brands only. Small websites of many different kinds need a logo that is going to hold the water.
    Nice choice, thanks for info.
