This article will teach you how to verify your Technorati Claim Token on your WordPress blog.
Technorati is an internet search engine for blogs. Technorati has a Google PageRank of 8 out of 10. I don’t think the importance of getting a backlink from a website like this needs to be explained.
Adding a blog to the Technorati blog directory is a positive SEO practice. When you submit your blog to Technorati, it generates a unique code and sends it to your email address.
How to Verify Your Technorati Claim Token on Your WordPress Blog
Burn an RSS Feed with Feedburner. Your Default RSS feed on WordPress is: http://yourblogurl/feed
Open up your WordPress DASHBOARD —- Posts -> Click on Add New Post
Add “Technorati Token” as the Post Title
In Visual/Text Section, paste your Techorati Token which was sent to your email, e.g. CHGJN2GGSKCB (This was my claim token) and Publish the post. (If you have your blog feed settings set to Summary, ensure your Technorati claim token is in the first line of the post)
You can delete the post after claiming your blog.
Once you have published the post, ensure your claim token is visible in your RSS feed, e.g. http://feeds.feedburner.com/WpSeer
Login to your Technorati account and click on check claim under My Claimed Blog. Click on the verify claim token. If you have done everything properly, within a couple of minutes, you should get a message like this;
“We have successfully crawled your blog and found the claim token, and your claim is now awaiting review.”
These simple steps should show you how to verify Technorati claim token. If this worked for you, remember to drop a comment and share this post with others who might find it useful.
